Best Anti Mouche Methods
Anti mouche is a French word which refers to the various methods people use to keep flies under control. Some of these methods have a long history since flies have been pests among human beings for thousands if not millions of years. While many people are familiar with the annoyance caused by flies they may not be aware of the negative health-related effects that they can have on people as well.
Flies belong to the insect order Diptera which also contains many mosquitoes gnats and other bugs. While other members of this genetic family especially the mosquito are well-known for transmitting diseases with varying levels of severity the common house fly is also capable of spreading unwanted germs in homes and on food. A particularly revolting habit of flies involves laying their eggs in food especially exposed meats. These eggs hatch and grow into maggots. Though the maggots themselves do not carry any infections they cause revulsion in humans due to what they represent.
Methods for dealing with flies vary a great deal. One of the older methods is the fly strip. This device is simply a long piece of fabric or plastic which has been coated with special glue. Flies have a habit of landing everywhere and on everything at least momentarily. If sufficient fly strips are put in place eventually the flies will land on them and become stuck. Many people do not like fly strips as anti mouche devices because they are very obvious and they end up as hanging clusters of fly carcasses. Still this method is pretty effective though it is not immediate and a person has to wait until the flies get around to landing on the fly strips.
One way of preventing flies should not be overlooked. Flies are generally attracted to food food particles and uncleanliness. This does not necessarily mean that someone who suffers from a fly infestation has filthy habits or is a messy person. However not everyone takes as great care in storing food as some others. Properly storing food is one way to prevent flies from ever becoming interested in your domicile.
Cleaning up after eating is also important. While your table may appear clean to you and everyone else there may be sticky surfaces that contain enough nutrition in them to attract a horde of flies. If you have children they may have placed food against the underside of the table. You cannot see it but the flies know it is there. Taking extra care in maintaining a clean environment should go a long way toward keeping the fly presence minimal.
Only when these methods have failed to solve you fly problem should you resort to more severe methods of controlling their presence. There are a number of pesticides available for solving this problem. When you use them make sure to spray on surfaces and not in the air. This anti mouche method is very effective against flies but it can also make you sicker than the flies would have on their own.
